All of our puppies are microchipped. Typically this is done at their first veterinary appointment before leaving us here at Middlecross and going to their new home.
Microchipping provides a reliable method to identify your puppy/dog and aids in getting you and your pup reunited should you accidentally become separated.

Puppies receive their first set of three vaccines before going home. Typically, this happens between 7-8 weeks of age. You will need to schedule your puppies second vaccination at your own vet. You will be provided with a record of what vaccines your puppy has received so you will be able to share this information with your new puppy’s veterinarian.

The colour of puppies in any litter depends on the DNA of the mom and dad of the particular litter.
Here at Middlecross we have the ability to produce the traditional French Bulldog coat colours/patterns (like pieds and brindles) and some of our pairings allow us to produce some exotic colours. We anticipate some lilac and tan pups soon and some new shade Isabella in the not too distant future.
The varied colours and patterns can make Frenchie breeding very fascinating but the bottom line at Middlecross is not so much the colour of the pups as it is the health of each individual puppy.

Puppies are usually ready for their new homes after they are 8 weeks old. We don’t release them sooner because their time with their mom and littermates is crucial to their socialization and development.
-
All of our puppies are lovingly raised in our home. We do not produce kennel dogs. Puppies are exposed to the sights, sounds and experiences of living in a typical home. This exposure is done carefully and intentionally so pups learn to respond confidently to everyday noises, events and situations. They will be socialized with children as well.

French Bulldogs have genes that cause them to be considered “low shedding”.

We encourage anyone considering a Frenchie as a pet to do some research first. Find out if the characteristics of a typical Frenchie would fit your lifestyle.
A wrong fit would be frustrating for you and for your dog.
Look for the right breeder. Is the breeder willing to take time to answer your questions? Are the puppy parents healthy? What health testing has been done? Are the puppies socialized with other dogs and people? Are you comfortable with the breeder? Will the breeder be willing to give you guidance after you take the puppy home? These are all good questions to have answered before you decide on which breeder you would want to be raising your puppy during its first formative weeks of life.
If you determine that you would like to proceed with purchasing a puppy from Middlecross Frenchies a $500 non-refundable deposit will reserve a place for you to choose your specific puppy from a particular litter. Puppy selections are made on a first come, first served basis. This means that once the breeder’s pick (s) is made, the family/individual who places their deposit first gets first choice, the second family/individual who places their deposit gets second choice, etc., until the entire litter has been reserved. Puppy selection is typically done around the 3 week old mark.
Once your puppy is selected you will receive photos and videos of your puppy until it is time for them to go home with you.
Full payment is due before your puppy leaves the breeder.
